San Diego Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts is a family-owned training center located in San Marcos, California. The facility is directed by owner and head instructor Wesley Burriesci, a lifelong grappler who began teaching martial arts in his youth. The academy spans a two-story 12,000-square-foot complex featuring specialized training spaces and substantial spring-loaded mat systems. The curriculum incorporates multiple combat disciplines for children, teenagers, and adult practitioners. Core offerings focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in both traditional gi and no-gi submission grappling formats. Students also train in traditional Kodokan judo throws and pins, Muay Thai striking, boxing fundamentals, and mixed martial arts combinations. Instruction balances defensive fundamentals, positional awareness, joint locks, and athletic conditioning within a disciplined environment. Residents across San Marcos, Vista, and Escondido can visit the facility to observe ongoing training, speak with certified black belts, and arrange an introductory class.
