Rudy Bears Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & MMA is located at 4030 Broadway Blvd in the Westport neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. The training facility delivers martial arts instruction centered on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and functional athletic conditioning for adults and youth. The academy is led by founder and former professional mixed martial artist Rudy Bears. Bears launched his professional fighting career in 2007 and competed across major combat organizations, including Bellator, Strikeforce, Titan Fighting Championships, and M-1 Global. Bringing his cage experience and technical knowledge to daily coaching, Bears structures classes to teach students sound biomechanics, strategic discipline, and practical combat fundamentals. Classes cater to students ranging from total beginners to competitive fighters, covering gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, striking technique, and integrated mixed martial arts sparring. Instruction emphasizes positional control, takedowns, submissions, and cardiovascular fitness in a community setting. Prospective practitioners can schedule a free trial class or explore membership details on the academy website.
